Our old neighbors, Tom and Karen, invited us to Myrtle Beach with them for the weekend. We had never been there--plus we had never been on a road trip together--so we eagerly said yes! Needless to say we had a blast! Friday night we went to a dueling piano bar (Crocodile Rock) which would have been a better experience had it not been TOTALLY packed. It was cool Saturday morning so we decided to hit the local outlet mall for awhile...but it led into an entire day of shopping! There's this cool place called Broadway on the Beach which is a conglomeration of shops, restaurants, and bars around a man-made lake...we spent some time and money there, eating lunch at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville (yummy but expensive food). Then we were so tired after more shopping and wandering that we went back to the hotel to take "a short nap." Three hours later we were finally getting up and we were actually hungry so we decided to go out to dinner to a place my boss recommended (Rossi's). It was a very nice place and quite expensive, but we made do and it was VERY yummy. We went back to the hotel and crashed and left early Sunday morning. We can't wait to go again!
