2001 USMC Birthday Ball

The 226th Marine Corps Birthday Ball was a unique experience: it's one thing to see Tom in his dress blues (say, at our wedding), but it's quite another to see 600 guys in the same uniform (it takes away some of the mystique). But, it was a nice evening with great food! And I lucked out and found a last-minute dress for $50 (although I had to pay $25 for alterations). The best thing? We get to (pay to) go every year!!
